Case Study: University of Greenwich achieves practical e-procurement training with Market Dojo

A Market Dojo Case Study

Preview of the University of Greenwich Case Study

University of Greenwich - Customer Case Study

The University of Greenwich wanted to give MA Logistics and Supply Chain Management students hands‑on exposure to emerging e‑procurement tools, negotiation techniques and the realities of working with a startup. Market Dojo, an e‑sourcing software‑as‑a‑service provider, brought its reverse‑auction technology and an interactive eAuction game into Dr Li Zhou’s course to make reverse auctions and on‑demand procurement software accessible to students.

Market Dojo implemented its SaaS platform, ran a classroom game and delivered guest lectures (co‑founders Alun Rafique and Nick Drewe have presented for four years), embedding real‑world negotiation practice into the curriculum. The collaboration gave students practical insight into procurement and startup strategy, generated useful student feedback that has helped shape Market Dojo’s product and raised awareness and recruitment opportunities for the vendor—outcomes the partners are now building on for further research and training.
