How the Richmond Police Quickly Accesses Data with Mark43 RMS

The Richmond Police Department, serving a city of about 102,000 with 188 sworn officers, faced workflow bottlenecks from an aging server-based records management system that made daily crime reporting slow and time-consuming. To modernize their operations they selected Mark43 and its cloud-based Mark43 RMS (hosted on AWS GovCloud) to replace the legacy RMS.

Mark43 implemented its multi-tenant Mark43 RMS—later adding Mark43 CAD for the regional communications center that handles roughly 12,000 calls for service per month—so officers can input, integrate, and access case data in real time from any device. The Richmond Police Department reports significant time and cost savings, faster report completion, improved remote access, and freed IT resources that can be redirected to other initiatives, improving overall public safety efforts.
