MAN Energy Solutions, then operating as MAN Diesel, needed a better way to manage time registration and production data across its Danish operations. With 2,700 employees working in environments ranging from offices to a foundry, the company was dealing with heavy manual paperwork, inconsistent approvals, and the need for precise control over engine production schedules and costs. Mark Information provided ProMark to help integrate shop-floor time tracking with SAP and payroll.

Mark Information implemented ProMark modules for time and job registration, integrated with SAP HR, SAP SD, SAP Production Planning, and Lessor Payroll. Employees clock in and out, scan barcode slips on materials, and all data is automatically stored and sent to SAP, reducing errors and eliminating piles of paper records. The result was smoother production control, more reliable data, and significant efficiency gains, with managers gaining a universal real-time overview; MAN Energy Solutions also planned to extend the system to travelling service staff for offline registration.
