The Gadgeteer, founded in 1997 with 140 product reviewers, is a leading independent gadget review site that had strong desktop presence but lacked mobile visibility and effective monetization. To address poor mobile UX, SEO and ad performance on its in-house responsive site, The Gadgeteer partnered with Marfeel to build and monetize a dedicated mobile website and app using Marfeel’s mobile platform.
Marfeel developed a new mobile site and app and applied its proprietary optimization technology—featuring app-like swiping, dynamic ad insertion, real-time bidding and dynamic social sharing—to improve content presentation and ad yield. As a result, Marfeel reports The Gadgeteer’s page speed increased by 200%, revenue per visit rose 175%, page views grew over 200% and bounce rate declined by 300%.
