Mapware Provides Rapid 3D Scanning for Emergency Management Following Hurricane Michael

Belfor Property Restoration partnered with Mapware after Hurricane Michael to support emergency management operations in Florida. Belfor needed rapid aerial data and 3D mapping for multiple damaged buildings and campus sites, and Mapware’s drone-based photogrammetry services were used to gather that information under difficult field conditions.

Mapware mobilized within 24 hours, captured and processed photogrammetry data, and delivered the first datasets in-app within 24 hours of arriving on site, with hot copies also provided in the field. Over six days, Mapware delivered roughly 300 GB of high-resolution photos, orthomosaics, and 3D models that helped Belfor assess roofing damage, improve safety, and support faster recovery and claims-related workflows.
