Filming 360º VR of Disaster Zones: A Collaboration Between PwC and Mapware

PwC partnered with Mapware to capture 360º VR footage of two natural disaster sites in Southern California and Baton Rouge. The challenge was producing high-quality virtual reality video from disaster zones so first responders could better understand conditions on the ground and plan safer, more efficient missions.

Mapware provided a customized drone solution built with DJI hardware, along with a licensed, insured drone operator and full video processing support. The team mobilized quickly, captured timely footage, and delivered a usable final product for PwC, demonstrating how 360º VR can support disaster response and future training applications.
