MapsIndoors was the official Indoor navigation provider at Google Atmosphere Tokyo 2015

Google Tokyo faced a complex wayfinding challenge for Google Atmosphere Tokyo 2015: roughly 3,000 attendees needed directions to seven venues across multiple floors of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, plus nearby points of interest. To provide a digital, time-efficient solution integrated into Google’s information stands, Google partnered with mapspeople and deployed the MapsIndoors indoor navigation platform.

mapspeople worked with Google engineers to integrate MapsIndoors into the event’s info stands, combining indoor wayfinding with Google Street View and routing that included stairs and elevators for fastest paths. The solution let attendees quickly find key sessions and nearby restaurants, was highly valued by users, and was redeployed at Google Atmosphere Tokyo 2016 — demonstrating clear operational impact for the event organizer.
