The Dubai Mall, developed by Emaar Properties, needed a reliable wayfinding solution to help visitors navigate its 1,200 stores across 5.9 million square feet and to give facility managers better mapping and property-management flexibility. Mappedin was engaged to provide this modern indoor navigation capability, deploying its Web SDK for the mall website and an integrated in-app wayfinding experience.
Mappedin delivered 3D, cloud-rendered maps on the website, a mobile app integration (in partnership with Senion) that uses beacon-based indoor positioning for turn-by-turn navigation with updates twice a second, and a CMS with analytics that tracks completed journeys. The solution has driven measurable engagement — over 2.8 million web and mobile wayfinding sessions — while improving visitor navigation and operational insights for The Dubai Mall.
