Loblaw Digital partnered with Mappedin to improve its Click and Collect grocery operations, looking for a better way to increase efficiency in store picking and wayfinding. Mappedin’s retail wayfinding and indoor mapping capabilities were used to test whether optimized routing could help store associates work faster and more accurately in a physical retail environment.

Mappedin mapped two stores, built an optimized picking-path solution, and integrated it into an app for comparison against standard runs. The result was a 13% reduction in distance traveled, a 7-minute reduction per run, and an overall 15% increase in picking efficiency, helping validate Mappedin’s solution for retail operations.
