How we worked together to accomplish an enhanced experience

Sangster International Airport, the primary tourism gateway in Jamaica (MBJ), faced common airport wayfinding challenges and wanted an interactive map that passengers could access across devices and use on-site via touchscreens. To solve this, the airport engaged Mappedin to deliver a digital wayfinding solution using Mappedin’s Responsive Web App and Digital Directories.

Mappedin embedded a 3D interactive map on MBJ’s website and deployed touchscreen Digital Directories throughout the terminal, offering search, category browsing, floating labels, step‑by‑step directions, and rich location details (hours, menus, phone numbers). The deployment made it easier for passengers to find the shortest routes to gates, discover retail and F&B options, and improved overall amenity searchability; while no specific KPIs were published, airport leadership reports the rollout was seamless and highly beneficial to travelers.
