How Mappedin worked with Mohawk College to implement interactive maps on their website, providing a seamless wayfinding experience for their students and visitors

Mohawk College, which serves more than 32,500 students across multiple Hamilton campuses, needed an interactive digital mapping solution to improve wayfinding on its website for students, staff and visitors. The college prioritized accessibility (AODA compliance), multi-language support, and easy map maintenance so classroom moves, new vendors and other changes would be reflected quickly—leading them to engage Mappedin and its mapping platform (Responsive Web App and Map Editor).

Mappedin deployed its Responsive Web App at Mohawk’s Fennell and Stoney Creek campuses and configured the Mappedin Editor with a sync to Mohawk’s classroom CMS. The solution delivers smart search, category listings, accessibility mode, optimized pathing and turn-by-turn directions across devices, while real-time Map Editor updates ensure locations and classroom codes stay current. As a result, Mappedin’s maps are live on two campuses, improving navigation and the student experience with up-to-date, accessible indoor mapping for Mohawk College.
