Waterloo Maple, Inc launches the Cassiopeia A-20 with Maplesoft’s 640 x 240 display Windows CE solution

The customer, Waterloo Maple, Inc., collaborated with the vendor, Maplesoft, to develop a software solution for a new handheld PC. Their challenge was to provide a portable educational tool for exploring, learning, and solving problems in mathematics, from algebra to calculus, aimed at high school and college students and teachers.

Maplesoft implemented a solution by developing Maple for Windows CE, a software system designed for the Casio Cassiopeia device. This solution allowed the portable device to run advanced mathematics software, providing students with a hands-on tool for problem-solving and exploration. The result was the creation of a fully portable "Computer Extender" that combined the technologies of multiple educational software developers into a single, powerful handheld unit for mathematics education.
