A Maplesoft Case Study
The University of Manchester's Centre for Interdisciplinary Computational and Dynamic Analysis (CICADA) faced the challenge of visualizing experiments and implementing controllers for their research into perfecting humanoid robot walking without slowing down their process. To address this, they utilized Maplesoft's MapleSim physical modelling software.
The solution implemented by Maplesoft provided an intuitive, drag-and-drop modelling environment with advanced visualization capabilities and linearisation techniques. This allowed the team to build complex simulations and generate C++ code to interface directly with their hardware, significantly speeding up the controller implementation and debugging process. As a result, the research team was able to build models faster and complete experiments with better data, accelerating their progress towards projects involving dynamic walking with full body control.
