A Maplesoft Case Study
Purdue University Calumet sought a better method to teach mathematics and help students gain a deeper understanding of the subject. Professor Roger Kraft chose to use Maple, a math software from Maplesoft, to clarify classroom concepts and provide an interactive medium for students to explore and visualize functions.
Maplesoft's solution included providing Maple through its Maple Adoption Program, which made the software easily accessible to students at a discounted price. This allowed students to rapidly produce plots, interactively explore solutions, and better understand mathematical processes. The implementation helped students learn faster and improved their overall understanding of functions and equations. Maplesoft also provided extensive online resources, including its student portal with homework tips and training videos, to further maximize the teaching value.
