A Maplesoft Case Study
KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm wanted to develop an e-learning model that would support campus-based teaching, improve learning, and reduce the time needed for course delivery. To help with this transition, the university worked with Maplesoft and used Maple, Maple T.A., and Möbius in its nuclear engineering courses.
Maplesoft implemented online exercises, assessment, and courseware that replaced paper take-home assignments and gave students repeated practice with individualized problems. The results included stronger student engagement, better preparation for exams, improved critical thinking, less time spent on grading, and a more efficient learning process; the tools also helped KTH align with its broader distance-learning and lifelong-learning goals.
