Maplesoft Engineering Solutions team helps FLSmidth develop revolutionary mining equipment

FLSmidth worked with Maplesoft to tackle the challenge of developing a highly complex Dual Truck Mobile Sizer (DTMS) for the mining industry. The goal was to create equipment that could reduce fuel, maintenance, and infrastructure costs while handling large-scale in-pit crushing more efficiently.

Maplesoft’s Engineering Solutions team used MapleSim and Maple to build a high-fidelity, multidomain model of the DTMS, along with design tools for geometry, hydraulics, motion, loading, and stability analysis. This helped FLSmidth identify and fix potential design issues early, stay on schedule, and deliver a model and design approach that could save millions of dollars in production and redesign costs.
