Evergreen Valley College student and retired electrical engineer Al Rusnak needed a way to refresh his mathematics skills, learn newer concepts, and get comfortable with modern technology tools for calculus and vector calculus. He turned to Maplesoft’s Maple to support his studies and tutoring work.

Maplesoft’s Maple gave Rusnak an easy-to-use environment for symbolic math, calculations, and graphing, helping him visualize problems and focus on the mathematics rather than manual manipulation. The results included faster homework completion, better support for classmates, instructor use of his Maple files in lectures, and the creation of textbook-quality 2-D and 3-D plots and solution files for a Calculus III textbook at Evergreen Valley College.
