Märker Geospatial, a Colorado-based consulting firm that performs asset inventories, pavement assessments and road surveys for public agencies, faced a need to simplify and speed right-of-way photolog projects so clients wouldn’t incur costly repeat field visits and cumbersome offline imagery transfers. To address this, they partnered with Mapillary and adopted Mapillary’s street-level imagery platform to process imagery from any camera type and keep roadway asset data up to date.

Mapillary’s platform enables Märker Geospatial to upload images from mobile phones, action and 360° cameras, and professional survey cameras, automatically geopositioning them and making them viewable within hours via Desktop Uploader or Command Line Tools. By using Mapillary, Märker Geospatial reduced repeated site visits, performed remote QA, sped turnaround, and saved the government agencies they serve thousands of dollars in inventory and inspection fees.
