Conestoga Ethanol Arkalon (Conestoga), a 110‑million‑gallon‑per‑year ethanol plant in Liberal, Kansas, faced the challenge of planning and executing annual multi‑day shutdowns for repairs, replacements and inspections without incurring excessive downtime or parts shortages. To manage that complexity they have used MAPCON CMMS since opening, relying on the system to organize shutdown tasks and keep maintenance processes under control.

MAPCON delivered a project‑based CMMS solution—using historical data, prioritized work orders, parts and tool tracking, and MAPCON Mobile for field work‑order creation—that lets Conestoga plan roughly three months ahead, maintain a complete document trail, and respond quickly to unplanned repairs. As a result, MAPCON helped Conestoga improve scheduling accuracy, reduce reactive maintenance, ensure critical spares are in stock, and minimize equipment downtime during shutdowns.
