Mapbox partnered with the World Bank Group through the World Bank Development Data Partnership to address critical gaps in spatial and demographic data that hinder planning for health services, infrastructure and crisis response in low- and middle-income countries.

Using Mapbox’s mapping platform and novel data sources, World Bank researchers mapped health-care access in Senegal and Indonesia, prioritized tourism infrastructure investments in Sri Lanka, and assessed population vulnerability during India’s COVID-19 lockdown—delivering targeted service planning, evidence-based investment priorities, and faster, data-driven crisis response.
