SUBAROAD is Subaru’s personalized navigation app that helps owners discover scenic, off-the-beaten-track routes and curate driving adventures with stops, sights, and synchronized audio. The challenge was to deliver a navigation experience beyond conventional systems—embedding turn-by-turn guidance while feeding real-time, location-based audio guides, tourist information, and music tied to the driver’s live position.

To solve this, SUBAROAD integrated Mapbox Navigation SDKs to customize maps and navigation features and synchronize audio and content with the vehicle’s location. The result is a seamless, personalized driving experience that routes drivers along unique scenic paths, lets them add stops and storytelling content, and gives Subaru owners a safer, more immersive way to explore.
