Ring wanted to turn its connected cameras and doorbells into a broader neighborhood safety network, helping people share security updates and get real-time alerts based on a chosen neighborhood radius. To make this work, Ring used Mapbox to add maps and location data to the Ring Neighbors app.

With Mapbox, Ring contextualized alerts on a map so users could see when and where incidents happened and share information more easily. The result was a “new neighborhood watch” experience that helped create stronger communities and improved neighborhood awareness with real-time, location-based safety updates.
