Visualize No Malaria is a partnership led by Zambia’s Ministry of Health with PATH, MACEPA, Mapbox and eight technology partners working to eliminate malaria across large, often unmapped regions. The challenge was to give provincial and district health teams timely, location-based insights so they could report, visualize, and act on data to target interventions and reach underserved communities.

The initiative combined open data, location analytics, and thousands of volunteer mappers to map hundreds of thousands of square kilometers and overlay malaria risk and population information. The result: transformed reporting and visualization for health workers, more effective resource distribution, and faster identification of high-need areas—advancing Zambia toward a malaria-free future.
