National Parks Service - Customer Case Study

The National Park Service, which manages 417 areas across more than 84 million acres, needed an easy-to-use mapping solution to help visitors discover sites and plan trips online and on mobile. The goal was to make park information and navigation intuitive so tourists could both prepare for visits and explore in the field.

By using Mapbox, the NPS delivers interactive web maps and park-specific mobile apps in over 19 parks, enabling visitors to plan trips online and continue exploring on their phones. The effort also provides downloadable official maps (for example, Yosemite park and valley maps in PDF/JPG formats), improving access and discovery for park visitors.
