Mellow Mushroom, a 45-year-old chain of locally owned, art-filled pizza bakeries known for fresh ingredients and a quirky, community-focused vibe, needed an easy way for customers to find one of its 176 U.S. locations. The challenge was to deliver a store locator that worked seamlessly on desktop and mobile, reflected the brand’s unique look, and kept map usage and costs optimized.

Using Mapbox Maps and Search, Mellow Mushroom launched a custom-branded store locator that layers their location data on top of Mapbox, supports address or current-location search, and centers results around the user. The solution delivers a fast, visually on-brand experience for guests across devices while controlling usage costs and making it simple to find the nearest pizza.
