CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc., owner and franchisor of Carl’s Jr.® and Hardee’s®, needed a better way to connect customers with their restaurants across a sprawling global footprint. Their challenge was to build a branded, easy-to-use store locator that reflected their look and made it simple for users to find nearby locations by current location or by searching an address, city, or state.

CKE partnered with Mapbox to build a customized locator using Mapbox Maps and Search, with Mapbox providing technical and styling support and an expedited proof of concept. The result is a fast, on-brand store finder that improves discoverability for customers across 44 U.S. territories and 43 countries and lays the groundwork for future marketing, digital, and social initiatives.
