Boston Children’s Hospital needed a fast, secure way to provide reliable, localized COVID-19 vaccine information to millions of people across the US during the pandemic. In partnership with Mapbox, the hospital helped build Vaccines.gov using Mapbox search and maps to show vaccine availability near users’ zip codes.

Mapbox enabled Boston Children’s Hospital to launch the site in just 4 weeks, with support from its community program, Technical Account Managers, and solutions architects. The result has been more than 100 million map views and a scalable, near real-time tool that helped people quickly find and book vaccines.
