How The Dream Workshop Shifted to Online Retail During COVID-19

The Dream Workshop, a Costa Rica-based mattress repair and custom bed business, had to shut down its brick-and-mortar store during COVID-19 lockdowns. To keep generating sales in a market where online buying was still uncommon, they needed a way to move customers confidently into an eCommerce experience. ManyChat was used to support the shift with Facebook ad traffic, bot flows, and Live Chat.

Using ManyChat, The Dream Workshop tested multiple conversion paths across Facebook ads, website retargeting, Messenger bot flows, and WhatsApp, while also using Live Chat to answer questions in real time. They paired this with an empathetic message, a local payment processor, and a 100-day sleep test to reduce purchase anxiety. The result was over $43,800 in sales during the shutdown and a stronger online retail operation.
