A Manufacture 2030 Case Study
Bayer, a major pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, faced the challenge of scaling its carbon reduction efforts to meet its Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goals. Their previous manual approach, using spreadsheets and disparate tools, was time-consuming and could not provide the necessary visibility across its global operations. The company turned to the vendor Manufacture 2030 and implemented its carbon reduction platform to centralize and streamline this work.
The solution from Manufacture 2030 provided a single platform for tracking greenhouse gas reduction projects across 146 facilities. This gave Bayer complete visibility into its progress, enabled forecasting of emissions targets, and automated manual tasks. The results included over 400 active users collaborating on the platform and the successful management of projects accounting for more than 10,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, giving Bayer the confidence it will meet its goals.
