National Education Nature Park Programme boosts biodiversity with Manifesto and 4,000+ schools

The National Education Nature Park programme, a revolutionary initiative commissioned by the Department for Education and led by the Natural History Museum and the Royal Horticultural Society, faced the challenge of creating a first-of-its-kind web platform. This national resource needed to transform climate education and support young people in increasing biodiversity across England. They engaged Manifesto to design and build this new, interactive website.

Manifesto designed and built an accessible web platform featuring unique tools like a Site Boundary Creator and an Interactive Map, developed in collaboration with Esri UK. The solution successfully launched, resulting in over 4,000 schools and colleges signing up and mapping more than 3 million square metres of habitat. The platform saw over 130,000 page views and nearly 11,500 resources downloaded, demonstrating significant engagement. The project was awarded Gold at the BIMA awards and is empowering young people to boost biodiversity across the country.
