A Manhattan Associates Case Study
Weetabix needed to modernise distribution at its Burton Latimer site—an 82‑acre operation with over 1,300 staff handling around 35,000–40,000 pallets and hundreds of SKUs. Growth exposed limits in a legacy system that could track pallet volumes but not precise locations, allowed user overrides, made stock rotation unreliable, and forced inefficient task sequencing across two warehouses.
Weetabix implemented Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management for Open Systems in a phased rollout, standardising processes, enforcing FIFO, preventing overrides, and bundling tasks to cut travel. The result was a jump in stock accuracy by location from under 90% to 99.89%, significant operational efficiency improvements, reduced finished‑goods wastage, integrated stocktaking, and faster product traceability.
