Case Study: Adfong achieves double pick speed and improved inventory accuracy with Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management & Supply Chain Intelligence

A Manhattan Associates Case Study

Preview of the Adfong Case Study

The heartbeat of Iceland’s market leading retailer

Aðföng is the Reykjavík-based distribution and logistics arm for Iceland retail group Hagar, operating a large central DC that serves multiple grocery chains. After two decades on a heavily customised Navision Navigator ERP with bespoke warehouse functionality, the company was locked into a legacy WMS that made upgrades costly and risky and lacked the modern, standardised functionality Aðföng needed.

Aðföng implemented Manhattan’s Warehouse Management for Open Systems and Supply Chain Intelligence via local partner Nobex, using Nobex’s Supply Chain Broker to run systems in parallel during a staged migration and to interface to Navision and later Dynamics AX. The new solution doubled pick speeds, significantly improved receiving, put-away and shipment accuracy, increased inventory visibility and reporting, and simplified the ERP upgrade path with minimal disruption.
