Mothercare, a leading UK retailer for parents, babies and young children with hundreds of UK and international stores, needed to replace its logistics network after its 2000 de‑merger. The company’s objectives were to support rapid growth and international reach while maximising warehouse productivity and cutting operating costs.

Mothercare chose Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management on the IBM i platform, rolling it out across Daventry and Coventry and then using Manhattan to migrate operations into a new national distribution centre with minimal disruption. Manhattan’s Performance Services provided targeted recommendations that, once implemented, improved productivity, reduced operational costs and helped Mothercare keep pace with its international expansion.
