Case Study: Mercury achieves omnichannel transformation and major efficiency gains with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management

A Manhattan Associates Case Study

Preview of the Mercury Case Study

Mercury Leads the Way in Omnichannel With Digital Business Upgrades Using Manhattan Solutions

Mercury, a leading Chinese home-textiles brand headquartered in Shanghai with extensive retail and e-commerce channels, faced rapidly rising online orders and seasonal surges (notably “Double Eleven”). The company needed a comprehensive upgrade of warehouse automation, inventory planning, distribution and returns processes to support omnichannel growth and improve customer responsiveness.

Partnering with Manhattan Associates to deploy Manhattan Warehouse Management and integrate an intelligent logistics center, Mercury automated operations and connected third-party distribution. Results included inventory errors falling from 0.05% to 0.003%, returns confirmed within 48 hours, offline delivery upgraded to next-day, quality-inspection capacity doubling to 6,000 items/day, a drastic labor reduction (from ~430 to 50 for a 50,000 m2 operation) and faster peak-order processing (Double Eleven orders digested in 3 days vs. 7), contributing to stronger 2019 financial performance.
