A Manhattan Associates Case Study
Manutan, a European leader in office and industrial supplies founded in 1966, sells over 200,000 products through catalogue, call centre and e‑commerce channels, serving more than 600,000 customers across about 20 countries with €489 million in annual revenue and 1,500 employees. The company needed to standardise and rationalise its complex, multichannel supply chain—replacing a legacy ERP and improving warehouse processes such as slotting, picking, inventory control, labour productivity and order tracking across its regional divisions.
Manhattan Associates’ Distribution Management suite (Warehouse Management, Slotting Optimisation and Labour Management/Supply Chain Intelligence) was deployed with strong IT-led change management and supply chain involvement. After initial go-lives in Southern Europe Manutan saw benefits within two days—faster, more flexible picking via a processing‑zone model, automated receiving, improved order consolidation, real-time inventory visibility and increased DC productivity and customer service—followed by roll-outs to additional centres in France and the Netherlands.
