Global Shipping & Logistics accelerates Middle East expansion with Manhattan’s supply chain platform

Global Shipping & Logistics (GSL), a Dubai‑based subsidiary of the Al Shirawi Group, invested in a 1 million sq ft warehousing complex at Dubai Investment Park with the goal of becoming the UAE’s leading warehousing and inventory‑handling provider. To win blue‑chip customers across industries, GSL needed a highly configurable, browser‑based supply chain platform that delivered flexibility, full visibility and integrated billing.

GSL selected Manhattan SCALE from Manhattan Associates and, after short training, used the platform’s configurability to onboard clients rapidly. Within seven months the two new warehouses were full with 40+ clients, customers can place and track orders online, inventory accuracy averages 99.8%, billing is integrated with Oracle eBusiness Suite, and low IT overhead has supported plans to add five more warehouses.
