Case Study: Darice achieves lower warehouse costs and expanded distribution services with Manhattan Associates' SCALE

A Manhattan Associates Case Study

Preview of the Darice Case Study

Darice crafts distribution solutions with Manhattan SCALE

Darice, a family-owned company founded in 1954 and the largest full-line craft wholesaler in the U.S., manages more than 80,000 SKUs across 750,000 sq ft of facilities and processes thousands of orders and tens of thousands of order lines daily. Its legacy ERP-based warehouse functionality became costly to maintain, hard to adapt to changing labeling, volume and transportation needs, and unable to scale for multi-channel fulfillment or new customer distribution services.

After evaluating vendors, Darice implemented Manhattan SCALE across its operations, using Trading Partner Management, Labor & Performance Management and Transportation Execution to replace manual reporting and streamline inbound, warehouse and outbound processes. The rapid deployment cut total cost of ownership, improved operational efficiency and responsiveness to customer and transportation requirements, and positioned Darice to offer distribution services as a new revenue stream.
