Case Study: Costa Logistics achieves 10% cost-per-case reduction and 14% higher pick rates with Manhattan Associates' WMS & Supply Chain Intelligence

A Manhattan Associates Case Study

Preview of the Costa Logistics Case Study

Costa Logistics is miles ahead with Manhattan Associates

Costa Logistics, a division of the Costa Group and a major provider of third‑party and temperature‑controlled warehousing in Australia, was growing rapidly but hampered by a decentralised IT model. Each site ran separate data centers and customer interfaces, creating integration complexity, high support costs and limited real‑time visibility—so the company needed a centralised, scalable solution to support growth and improve operational control.

Costa upgraded to Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management System on IBM i and deployed the Supply Chain Intelligence platform to centralise operations, improve labour management, enable FEFO and RF/mobile capabilities, and replicate data for disaster recovery. The implementation delivered measurable gains: cost per case down 10%, pick rate up 14%, and direct labour hours reduced by 14%, along with faster, more accurate reporting and greater operational agility.
