Bidfood Optimises Supply Chain with Manhattan Solutions

Bidfood is a Dutch foodservice wholesaler operating 16 distribution centres (including an ambient NDC, a temperature-controlled DC, four regional DCs and 10 satellite DCs), serving customers with about 60,000 SKUs, roughly 2,000 employees and a 350‑truck fleet. Rapidly changing market conditions, tight margins and short lead times exposed the limitations of its heavily customized legacy warehouse systems, constraining operational performance and future growth.

To address this, Bidfood deployed Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management, Slotting Optimisation and Supply Chain Intelligence as part of a new systems infrastructure alongside SAP ERP and ATG e‑commerce. The solutions delivered better visibility and control, improved efficiency and agility (including track‑and‑trace and voice picking), and made the distribution network scalable and future‑proof to support continued growth.
