PacSun moves into the cloud, finds ‘savior’ in ship-fromstore & delivery fulfillment during the pandemic

PacSun, a leading U.S. lifestyle apparel brand with 330 stores and about 40% of sales from ecommerce, needed a more scalable omnichannel fulfillment model than its on-premise order management system could provide. The retailer was limited to shipping online orders from a single distribution center and wanted a cloud-based solution from Manhattan Associates, specifically Manhattan Active Omni, to support ship-from-store and other customer fulfillment options.

Manhattan Associates helped PacSun implement ship-from-store in just two weeks, with associates trained remotely to fulfill orders from stores during the pandemic. The result was roughly 40,000 units shipped per day from stores, some of the best margins in PacSun’s history, and a major boost to inventory sell-through. Manhattan Associates also enabled local delivery and faster fulfillment, helping customers receive goods in one or two days.
