Cloud Monitor Helps Warrior Run School District Monitor Google Workspace for Inappropriate Language, Cyberbullying, Self-harm Signals, and Other Student Safety Concerns

Warrior Run School District, a Pennsylvania school district with approximately 1,500 students, needed a better solution for monitoring Google Workspace to address student safety concerns. Their challenge was that the native Google Admin Console was not user-friendly and did not proactively alert them to issues like cyberbullying, inappropriate language, or self-harm signals. This left their technology coordinator, Greg Alico, reacting to incidents rather than preventing them.

The district implemented the Cloud Monitor platform from vendor ManagedMethods to gain proactive, detailed visibility into student activity. The solution provided highly customizable alerts and automated reporting, enabling the staff to quickly identify and investigate safety issues. As a result, ManagedMethods helped the district effectively stop incidents like the sharing of PII and the misuse of Google Docs, allowing them to be proactive about student safety and well-being.
