A Mambu Case Study
Space International, TBC Group’s cross‑border digital banking platform, had built successful neobanks in Georgia and Uzbekistan but faced a major challenge: Uzbekistan’s data residency rules forced a move to an on‑premise core that was not API‑first, inflexible, and created maintenance overhead, instability and scalability limits. Space International had previously launched Space Neobank on Mambu’s cloud‑native, API‑enabled core in Georgia, and sought to unify its technology stack and achieve better stability, performance and faster product development by moving the Uzbekistan operation onto Mambu.
Working with Mambu, Space International customized business processes, built a scalable migration service and migrated the full dataset in ~20 minutes with a 2–3 minute cutover, completing preparation in three months and the live migration successfully on first attempt. The move to Mambu’s cloud platform delivered immediate stability and 24/7 availability, fewer bugs (notably in the deposit module), faster time‑to‑market, lower maintenance and licensing costs, and a unified, scalable core that supports faster product development and improved customer retention.
