TymeBank, South Africa’s first fully digital retail bank, needed a modern core banking platform to scale inclusive, real-time banking across a large underbanked population. With Mambu, TymeBank migrated 85% of its core operations to the cloud in six months, enabling it to onboard around 100,000 customers per month. The move also cut operational costs by 50% and helped the bank grow to 10 million customers, setting a new benchmark for digital banking in South Africa.
