Raiffeisen Digital Bank - Customer Case Study

Raiffeisen Digital Bank (RDB), the greenfield mobile retail arm of Raiffeisen Bank International AG, launched in Poland to serve digitally‑native customers and compete in a fast‑moving digital lending market. Facing legacy technology limits, RDB needed a cloud‑native, scalable core to deliver fast, secure, user‑centric products and achieve rapid time‑to‑market, so the bank selected Mambu and its cloud‑native lending engine using a composable approach.

Mambu implemented the lending engine in close collaboration with RDB’s in‑house team (remote due to COVID), helping define customer, operational and analytics work streams and deploying on AWS; Mambu’s implementation workstream completed in six months and the digital bank launched in nine months. As a result, RDB now offers personalised mobile loans up to €32,000 approved in about 15 minutes with just an ID card, has signed a daily banking engine licence (Feb 2022) and is expanding integrations (including a Marqeta card PoC), giving RDB faster onboarding, higher loan throughput and a clear competitive edge thanks to Mambu.
