League Data is a cooperative FinTech that provides CIO services to 37 credit unions across Atlantic Canada. When its outsourced legacy core banking system running on mainframe hardware was set to reach end of life, it needed a modern replacement that could support customization for each credit union, comply with Canadian financial regulations, and prepare the organization for future changes in banking and digital services.

Mambu helped League Data move to its cloud-based core banking platform on AWS, integrating more than 20 partner tools through an API-friendly architecture and Mulesoft. The migration enabled League Data to implement a new core in under 3 years, move the majority of operations to the cloud, and cut customer cutover time to less than 48 hours with no service disruption. More than 35 credit unions were migrated in the following year, and the new ecosystem now supports 37 credit unions.
