Esperanza, a Dominican Republic–based non-profit microfinance organisation, was hindered by a costly, on-premises legacy loan system that relied on paper files, manual transcription, limited reporting, and a single administrator. To modernise operations and expand services, Esperanza partnered with Mambu and adopted Mambu’s cloud-native SaaS banking platform and flexible lending engine (deployed on AWS).

Mambu migrated Esperanza to a digital, API-driven platform within six months, enabling mobile application uploads, data consolidation, no-code product configuration, and integrations with third-party systems. The move cut loan disbursal preparation from two hours to two minutes, reduced processing and approval time to six days, supported growth to about 12,000 loans per year, improved reporting and fraud prevention, and expanded non-financial service tracking — all enabled by Mambu.
