CapitalBox, part of Ferratum Group, needed a flexible core banking solution to support rapid international growth for its SME lending business. Its in-house banking system was too rigid and made rollout across new markets slow and difficult, so it looked for a composable, scalable platform that could integrate with existing systems and analytics. Mambu’s cloud-native core banking engine was chosen to help speed up time to market and avoid hard-coded integrations.

With Mambu, CapitalBox brought its business loan management onto a centralised, configurable architecture that could be adapted for different countries and products. The platform enabled a simple SME application and approval process across Europe, helping CapitalBox launch in seven new countries in the first three months and expand to 10 countries within 12 months.
