Standard School District Gives Malware A Failing Grade

Standard School District, a Bakersfield, CA K–12 district with 3,100 students and about 200 teachers and administrators on Windows machines, was struggling with persistent malware infections that BitDefender failed to detect and that often required time-consuming re-imaging. Six IT staff across four schools faced slow endpoints, Trojan downloaders, adware and keystroke loggers on teacher/staff browsers, and a need for better, lighter-weight protection.

The district deployed 475 licenses of Malwarebytes Endpoint Security (Anti‑Malware, Anti‑Exploit, and the Management Console) and completed rollout in under two weeks. Malwarebytes delivered broader detection—even on symptom‑free machines—blocked malicious sites and exploits, improved endpoint performance, reduced the need to re-image machines, and gave IT faster push-install and reporting capabilities, saving staff time and improving overall protection.
