A Malwarebytes Case Study
Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is a public library system serving El Paso County, Colorado with 14 locations, a Bookmobile and public-access computers for patrons and staff. Facing frequent browser hijacks, drive‑by downloads and the looming threat of ransomware, the district struggled with traditional antivirus tools, manual cleanups, and the logistical burden of managing hundreds of endpoints across a large geographic area.
PPLD deployed Malwarebytes Endpoint Security and its cloud Management Console to centralize protection and remotely push and enforce scans and updates. The solution stopped malware and ransomware infections, virtually eliminated downtime, cut labor and travel costs by enabling remote remediation, and ran with almost no performance impact on users’ machines.
