Case Study: American Fuji Seal stops ransomware and saves 10 hours/week with Malwarebytes

A Malwarebytes Case Study

Preview of the American Fuji Seal Case Study

Malware’s fate is sealed at Fuji Seal

American Fuji Seal, a packaging manufacturer with operations in Kentucky, Indiana and Mexico, ran 24/7 production systems and recently doubled its number of endpoints. Persistent malware and a Cryptolocker attack that halted production for 18 hours exposed gaps in their legacy antivirus (Symantec), forcing help-desk staff to clean and restart machines multiple times per week and causing performance issues on servers.

Fuji Seal deployed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Business alongside a new Sophos AV after tests showed Malwarebytes detected far more infections (roughly 585–600 vs. Symantec’s 200–300). The Management Console enabled fast, centralized deployment and updates; the solution stopped ransomware, blocked malicious sites, improved endpoint performance, simplified management and saved the help desk at least 10 hours per week.
